Where it runs

The course stays inside the Longji terraced landscape, which the organisers describe as the Longsheng Longji Terraces national wetland park and scenic area. Named points on the route include Jinfoding, the Thousand-Layer Stairway, Seven Stars with Moon and Nine Dragons and Five Tigers, along with the old Zhuang settlement at Ping'an village and the village of Xiaozhai. The organisers pitch it on the autumn terraces and the local minority culture rather than on the racing.
