What’s On in Greater China

What this is. Event information in China lives inside WeChat posters and ticket apps the Western internet can't see — no English, no web page, no Google result. We read those sources, verify the details, and publish each event with its programme, original source, the date we checked it, and how a foreign visitor can actually register. Where something isn't stated by the organiser (a venue, a price), we say so rather than guess. Updated daily; once an event is over it drops off this page — what you see here is what you can still go to. Coverage spans the mainland, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, with the densest ground-checked coverage in Guizhou, where our team lives. Access varies enormously across the region — a Taipei or Hong Kong ticket is usually a credit card away, while a mainland event may require a WeChat account and real-name verification — so every entry says which it is.

Subscribe rather than remember to check: add the whole region to your calendar, or follow a single city below — each has its own feed.
